Update January 2009

2008 was an incredibly busy year for us. We played well over 100 shows, released a new album and toured all over Europe and the USA. 2009 seems to be getting even crazier. We plan on recording a new record, doing lots of touring again and hopefully play at some nice festivals. And to start off we have some nice events to announce:

– Japan release "Testimony"
– France, Swiss and Italian tour in January/February
– German tour in February/March

Japan release "Testimony"
After being released by 7 seven labels throughout Europe and the USA we are now proud to present that Fast Life Records will release "Testimony" in Japan in March 2009. The album will be released as a CD and download and will feature some bonus tracks. Check out their myspace and website for additional info (www.myspace.com/nofastnolife and http://blog.livedoor.jp/fastliferecords if you understand Japanese …)

11 January 2009 ~ Comments Off on The WEF is waiting…

The WEF is waiting…

My dearest diary, I just read that the US military (the US Navy's Military Sealift Command to be precise) is sending 989 containers of ammunition to Israël. I guess that's not for shooting clay pigeons… ugh… On a happier note: we're going on tour in a few weeks. And we're playing in Davos on a day of protests against the World Economic Forum (WEF). I hope those CEO's like a bit of 'heavy guitar music'. Actually, I hope they frickin' hate it… Anyway, check out the dates, come out and party hardy fardy with us. Our good friend Etjen from Just Like Your Mom Toursupport will be with us on this one, so you really have no excuse not to come. That's it for now. Tjuus! Forever yours, Yvo

29 December 2008 ~ Comments Off on Thank god the holidays are over

Thank god the holidays are over

A week ago we got back from a cold and wet yet very entertaining UK tour. We had very cool shows and it was nice to meet up with old friends. Thanks to all for helping us out with shows, sleeping places and heaters. An extremely big "Thank you!" go out to Pieter and Boris who helped us out with driving and doing our merch. We've had a flat tire and ran out of gas, but all in all it was a succesful tour and our "new" van treated us well! A tour report will follow soon.

And of course we're already planning our next tour. In January/February 2009 we will be going to France, Switzerland and Italy. We still have some off days to fill. As usual, feel free to jump in!

Our shows for the UK tour were the last ones we will be playing this year. In total we did 106 shows in 2008, which is the most shows we've ever done in a year. Now let's have a month of rest. As if.

And last but not least NationalUnderground.org put online an interview with us, about our US tour, the Nijmegen scene, how we write songs, etcetera. Check it here. Awesome zine!

05 December 2008 ~ Comments Off on Youth heroes

Youth heroes

Some small updates. First of all we'll be playing with a band that was a major influence on us when we started this band: No Use For A Name. Really exciting to be sharing the stage with them. And, as if it isn't enough, Only Crime will be playing too that night. Speaking of "All stars".

And for some reason it slipped through our fingers, but from now on you can find all our lyrics on this website. Look here for Testimony lyrics and here for Silencing Civilization lyrics. If it's written it's true! We also added the USA tour shirt we brought home to the merch section.

Furthermore we expanded our online hegemony through creating both a Twitter account and Last.fm group. Click on them to find out what is what and sign up or join if you feel like it. They are both still pretty much in a starting phase, so feel free to fire them up.

That's it. Hope to see you on the UK tour we're leaving for in exactly 1 week.
