Hi, thanks for checking out Antillectual

We're a punkrock trio from Nijmegen, the Netherlands. We've toured and released albums worldwide since 2005. We like our punkrock political and melodic, combining the best of ’90’s skatepunk, ’00’s emo and ’10’s orgcore.

15 November 2008 ~ Comments Off on Back from USA tour

Back from USA tour

After being on the road for almost a month, we made it home tuesday morning from our third US eastcoast tour. To start off with, we have a little dutch report and some video footage of the almighty Fest 7 to show. Check out the dutch report and the Fest 7 video on youtube.

We can hardly start to describe how much fun we had on this tour: seeing old friends, making new ones, playing awesome venues, houses, sheds and bars and hopping on to some sweet parties. Despite some tough drives, days off and surprises along the way it was totally worthwhile! We would like to take the time to say "thank you" to the people that have made this tour possible. Without them, we would never even have thought of crossing the big black pond.

Thank you: Jeff Meyers, Dan & Ryan & Solid & Ellis & Justin & Rob @ One Win Choice, Jeremy @ Jumpstart, Chris @ Square of Opposition Records, Tony & Cam @ No Idea, Pitter "halve litter", Martijn @ Spinner, Mike @ After the Fall, All @ Static Radio, everybody that hooked us upn with a show, a sleeping place, some food and even drinks, all bands we played with and obviously all the people that came to our show, watched us and maybe bought some merch to keep us on the road. And everyone we forgot about. Can't win 'em all …

The 4th and last part of our video-report will be up somewhere next week, together with a written report, keep an eye out. In the meantime, we have some new pictures up on our picasa

Also, you might want to be prepared for a sweet merch-offer coming up. More to come …

Survived fest 7!

That's right! we're back from the Fest and we loved it! 3 days of amazing bands, amazing weather, amazing people all over the place. Need i say more? Ok: spontaneous backyard shows, warehouse shows, great veggiefood.. Fest 7 was one hell of an experience. I'd like to say a quick "thank you" to all the friends we met and especially the No Idea crew for making this whole thing happen. Thanks!

In other news: we have the second part of our tourvideo online. Check out part 2 . I'm sorry if the sound is a little out of sync. My macbook is severely suffering from tour-fatigue i guess..

Oh, and we have some pictures from my phone in the photos section. More quality pictures will be added as tour is slowly grinding towards its end.

Hope to see some of at the upcoming shows in Baltimore / New York / New Brunswick

Hi from Philly

We're in philadelphia right now, hanging out at Jon of Jena Berlin's house. Some crazy shit is going on here with the Phillies in the finals of the World League and we're loving it.

In other news: we're keeping a tourdiary with videos on spinner.com . The first report is online now, anyone who knows Dutch, check it out

That's it for now. Hope to see you at one of the shows on this tour.
