UK tour report

Hey all, happy pappy new year! Hope you enjoyed your holidays and hopefully we all can continue our "normal" lives again. May 2009 bring you nice punkrock and prosperity for all.

Speaking of useless end-of-the-year-rituals, punx.nl made a year list that actually features our last release, even though the release was pretty early this year. Check it out. Nice top 5!

For our UK tour Yvo wrote a tour diary that we put on our site. This is a direct link. A USA tour report is still to come, hopefully soon!

By the way, did we ever tell you someone must have been bored enough to create a wikipedia page about us? Check! Feel free to add and complete the page. Now that's DIY!

29 December 2008 ~ Comments Off on Thank god the holidays are over

Thank god the holidays are over

A week ago we got back from a cold and wet yet very entertaining UK tour. We had very cool shows and it was nice to meet up with old friends. Thanks to all for helping us out with shows, sleeping places and heaters. An extremely big "Thank you!" go out to Pieter and Boris who helped us out with driving and doing our merch. We've had a flat tire and ran out of gas, but all in all it was a succesful tour and our "new" van treated us well! A tour report will follow soon.

And of course we're already planning our next tour. In January/February 2009 we will be going to France, Switzerland and Italy. We still have some off days to fill. As usual, feel free to jump in!

Our shows for the UK tour were the last ones we will be playing this year. In total we did 106 shows in 2008, which is the most shows we've ever done in a year. Now let's have a month of rest. As if.

And last but not least NationalUnderground.org put online an interview with us, about our US tour, the Nijmegen scene, how we write songs, etcetera. Check it here. Awesome zine!

18 December 2008 ~ Comments Off on UK tour update

UK tour update

Here's a small update from the back of the van, while we're touring the UK. We're pretty much halfway, as we've done 5 of a total of 9 shows. We’ve been to London, Portsmouth, Southampton, Exeter, Basingstoke. With Newcastle, Bradford, Brighton and Caudry still to go. So far everything is going well apart from a flat tire on our van which we were able to fix quite easily. We’ve had good shows, nice people visiting them and typically British weather during the rides. Ah well, right now the weather is terrible everywhere. You can check out some pictures on our picasa and Boris’ flicker account. Both Boris and Pieter are helping us out on this tour. Please stop by if you have the chance. Hope to see you on the road!

25 November 2008 ~ Comments Off on Last USA tour video online

Last USA tour video online

I guess the title gives away a lot. The last episode of our USA tour video report is online at the Spinner website. Check it out and leave a comment if you feel like it.

As long as we're here anyway; we are planning a Tour de France in January/February and still have some off days which we'd like to fill up. Check the show section if you want to help us out. On that tour we'll also play in Geneva (not quite French) and Raalte on the Pedro Pico Pop festival (not French either indeed). HELP!

The last couple of months people have asked us to participate in benefit samplers to help out a cause worth helping out. Obviously we contribute songs to initiatives we like to support. So maybe you want to check out these organisations that will release or have recently released a compilation album with one of our songs on it. If it's worth one of our songs, maybe it is even worth a minute of your time?

Miscellaneous

So we're back from one tour, and have announced the next one as well. A lot is happening over here. And to keep you up to date as much as possible we'll try to update this site a little more often. Feel free to comment on stuff we're posting. "Communication is what it's all about" sing two major bands, so let's do it.

First of all, if you happen to have/find reviews, pictures, videos, whatever from our USA tour, please send them or a link to us. We like to keep track and collect a lot of souvenirs this way. A written tour report and the last episode of the tour video report are to come.

For the Americans that are looking for ways to order our merch cheaper than from us (shipping costs and stuff) check out Jump Start Records for the Testimony LP. For the CD/LP of Silencing Civilization and the Testimony CD get in touch with Square of Opposition Records. He is more up to date with his email than with his website. Don't you worry. Square of Opposition also has some left over T-shirts from our USA tour up for sale. Soon they will be for sale through this website too. About that; we sold out some old shirt designs and updated this on the merch section. The remastered Silencing Civilization CDs and LPs are available for ordering.

We also found some new reviews of Testimony in German at Waste of Mind fanzine and Blueprint Fanzine, in English in Can You See the Sunset, Punktastic. On top of that the German zine Ox did an interview with us. You can find the online version here. Soon there will be an interview on ipunk.cz and Last Hours. As if we wouldn't let you know.

Phil from Black Numbers Records (Static Radio, Purpose, Rock, star) asked us if we would like to participate in a Kid Dynamite tribute "Carry the torch" they are releasing together with Copper Lung Records and Get Outta Town Records. And of course, we're honoured. There's a list of already confirmed other bands which is quite exciting. So next weekend we'll be recording Kid Dynamite's "Wrist rocket" and perhaps some demos for our own new songs. If there's enough time though.

For now we hope to see you at the Speak Out Fest which can't go wrong with a line up like this: Smoke or Fire, Fake Problems, Tenement Kids, Brat Pack, Rush 'n Attack, Omission, Brito.
