Hopefully you all had an incredible summer with lots of music and nice weather! We had an amazing time releasing Heads You Win, Tails We Lose and playing festivals all over Europe to spread our new single. But summer has come to an end and it’s time to bring you some fresh music and accompanying shows!

The Invisible Hand Meets the Visible Fist

We will release our new single “The Invisible Hand Meets the Visible Fist” on October 30! Musically it might seem a mellow track but its content is heavy nonetheless:

“In a world where politicians govern their nations as companies, citizens are reduced to customers. We are left with little more influence than our spendings. Let’s use that mechanism and “celebrate” the crisis’ 10th birthday by making our purchases with even more care about who we support financially. We, the extras in the neoliberal narrative, should address them in the only language they understand and let our money do the talking. Strategic purchases, consumer strikes and boycotting companies whose policies we don’t agree with are our only bribe to get a foot in the door. Show the invisible hand of the market the visible fist of the people. Merry 10 year crisiversary!”

This might sound like mixed signals, but we want to take a new approach to releasing music. We will of course continue creating new music. But instead of bundling new songs for a new album, we will write, record and send them out to the world one by one. This song is a response to the current populist wave. Trump is a big idiot and unfortunately part of a worldwide epidemic. It’s only a couple of days left before it’s the end of the year. Traditionally we “do” our last show of the year at De Onderbroek in Nijmegen at our very own Friends First Fest! This year will be a special edition spread over 2 days with bands from close to home and from a little further away. With new bands and bands that we grew up on. And with proper afterparties: DJ Bobby Brat (Th Dec 28) and live punk rock karaoke from Singalong Riot (Fr Dec 29)! Proceeds will go to causes worth supporting: Solidarity Not Silence, Animal Equality and AFA Nederland.

We hope to see you all at De Onderbroek on December 28 and 29 to celebrate good music and the end of the year.
