After selling out most books, Typewriter distro provided us with some fresh food for thought. Including obviously books, but also zines, DVDs, folders, stickers and more. Interested in their items? Come to a show, or visit their online store.

Meanwhile we inventoried all re-releases of the last months and updated our little store as well. We added a new T-shirt design and put up a discography-discount. A what? A discography-discount: order all newly available albums (as CDs or LPs) + a shirt of your choice for  30 euro (excl shipping). That’s 3 full-length albums, an EP and a T-shirt. Hey, what’s happening? It’s been kind of quiet on our side lately, but don’t let that fool you! Lots of time was spent on the recordings of our new EP over the last weeks. More news about that soon.

In the mean time we’d like to give a big Thank You to everyone who took the time to design a tour poster (or several) and send that over to us. Thanks! While we originally planned to pick a new design after June 10, we’ve decided to give it a little more time. The designs we’ve received so far are great, and we’d like to see if there’s even more cool designs out there waiting to be discovered. So, if you planned on sending in a poster, but found yourself short on time, we’re still accepting posters until June 25th. Everything you need to know can still be found right here.

Thanks again, and we promise: no more procrastination now 🙂

Aspiring designers: we need your help!

To promote our shows all over Europe and the rest of the world, we are in need of new tourposters. We’ve designed a couple of these ourselves in the past, and we are running out of stock. Instead of relying on our own (fairly poor) design skills, we figured we’d give it a try and see if someone else could help us out. Here’s your chance!

We won’t be doing this without a favor in return, of course. So here’s the deal: whoever sends us the coolest design will be rewarded with a nice merch-package (shirt + CD / Vinyl + some extra goodies) and 2 guest list spots for 2 shows of your choice. Besides that, your posters will be stuck on walls all over the world, and you are free to include your name / website on the poster.

Sound good? Here’s some guidelines:

• Send your design to tourposter@antillectual.com before june 10, in low resolution
• While designing, keep in mind that we will need to print this poster LARGE! DIN A2 is what we aim for, but alternative formats are an option: extra long, extra wide
• The final design will need to be 300 DPI CMYK color / Grayscale
• Leave some free space on the poster for our signatures bookers to add their show info (see example below)
• Our band logo can be found here (black on white) and here (white on black)
• Use whatever you like: album artwork, photos, your mom’s backyard wall.. But please respect intellectual property when using other people’s material

Other than that: go crazy! Please don’t let the guidelines ruin your creativity..

A couple of weeks ago we auctioned some merch items. 50% of all proceeds would go to Stichting Gast, a local foundation helping refugees in need. To us it was an experiment, but it turned out quite nice. We just wired a donation of 100 euro to Stichting Gast. Now that won’t solve the problems around (illegal) immigration, but at least it is a small step in the right direction. And our storage room looks a bit nicer. Thanks for contributing!
