About the show-section…

Hi there! We're about to go on tour, it's less than a week away. We're excited! Somehow the show-section isn't working (don't look at me, I'm a technofoob!). But if you want to know where we're playing, please check our myspace, that's always updated. Hope to see you soon! Love. Rage. Always. Yvo

UPDATE: stuff should be working again. If you ever find the shows page to be empty, drop riekus a line at riekus at antillectual dot com.

11 January 2009 ~ Comments Off on The WEF is waiting…

The WEF is waiting…

My dearest diary, I just read that the US military (the US Navy's Military Sealift Command to be precise) is sending 989 containers of ammunition to Israël. I guess that's not for shooting clay pigeons… ugh… On a happier note: we're going on tour in a few weeks. And we're playing in Davos on a day of protests against the World Economic Forum (WEF). I hope those CEO's like a bit of 'heavy guitar music'. Actually, I hope they frickin' hate it… Anyway, check out the dates, come out and party hardy fardy with us. Our good friend Etjen from Just Like Your Mom Toursupport will be with us on this one, so you really have no excuse not to come. That's it for now. Tjuus! Forever yours, Yvo

25 September 2008 ~ 1 Comment

It’s a boy!!

A week ago it finally happened: on September 18 my girlfriend gave birth to a lovely little baby boy! His name is RAAF, he's healthy, has ten fingers, ten toes and everything is working as it should be working. His mom is doing well. We're all excited and happy and more excited!

We'd like to thank everybody who showed their love and friendship during the pregnancy. It's truly appreciated. We can't say how much it means to us.

If people are interested; my girlfriend has a weblog (in Dutch) and there are some pictures of the little Raaf. You can find it here: http://www.hi-fibre.com/blog/2008/09/19/raaf-is-er/

Take care, Yvo

20 August 2008 ~ Comments Off on Best night ever, books and personal stuff

Best night ever, books and personal stuff

On August 5 we played with Propagandhi in Belgium and I’m still creaming my pants when I’m thinking back on that show…  thanks to Bram and everyone of Heartbreak Tunes for taking good care of us. Thanks to all our friends and familiar faces who were at the show. Thanks to Propagandhi for being who they are, especially Chris for looking like…

Some might know we always carry a bookdistro to our shows. It was very inspiring to see so many people who were interested in the books at the Propagandhi show. It’s an extra boost to keep on doing the distro and get more books in stock. If you are interested, feel free to check out www.typewriterdistro.org

Some time ago we said Suzette’s pregnancy isn’t going very well and therefor we had to cancel some shows. We’re completely overwhelmed by all heartwarming messages we got from people all over the world. I feel I owe these people a little update: things are not going much better with Suzette, but she’s also not really sick. We can’t handle the situation a bit better now than a couple of months ago. The baby is really healthy and can be born any day now, we can’t wait!
