Now the dust has settled …

Alright, so we have calmed down a little after releasing our new album on November 1st and touring France after that. How are you doing? The feedback so far has been more than mind blowing and jaw dropping. Below you can find some feedback that reached us, some interviews we did and some reports of what has been going on the last weeks. If you know of more reviews, interviews or the like, please inform us! And of course you can still download all our music including our new album (for free or for a donation) at music.antillectual.com or order a CD or LP at our webshop. Let us know what you think of it, speak freely.

To promote our new album we are gonna play live a lot. See “SHOWS” for all shows, including our “Release Benelux Tour”. Some shows we want to emphasize, in order of appearance:

21 October 2010 ~ Comments Off on Acousticism, part deux

Acousticism, part deux

A lot of the new songs are either (partly) written on an acoustic guitar or survived the acoustic test. Therefore we decided to start taking on acoustic shows again. I say “we” but in fact it will be only me (Willem) playing. For the upcoming French tour there will be 2 occasions and maybe more will follow after?

November 10, Marseille (FR). Lollipop Music Store (Acoustic in store 18:00h)
November 13, Cauterets (FR). Le Commerce (An acoustic set as support for the regular set)

So dig up our acoustic EP and dust off your lighters! By the way; expect an acoustic surprise in the streams to come …

We still need some last minute shows for this French tour. Check out the shows section and if you can help out, please!

22 August 2009 ~ Comments Off on Several single shows

Several single shows

The tour with Rentokill was amazing, as we hoped for. We have been friends with those guys for quite some years now and it was really fun and interesting to be on the road together for the first time. Hopefully more enterprises like this will follow. Thanks for coming out to the shows and dancing and cheering. In case you did.

Right now we are booking the dates for the tour together with After the Fall. There are still some dates to be filled, feel free to hop in and help out. We’re also working on new songs. I guess you can say we are past halfway. We are aiming for 12 or 13 songs to be recorded before the end of this year. At each show we will play some new songs to play them into shape live.

Our Italian label No Reason Records managed to get us on “Pop Punk Loves You #4”. Together with other fine bands like A Wilhelm Scream, Useless ID, Rufio, This Is A Standoff, Enemy Alliance, All Time Low and others. Not bad, not bad.

For the rest of August and September we have several single shows to play. Some acoustic (people really seem to take us seriously with the acoustic thing …) and some “normal”. And some of those are actually in Nijmegen, one of our hometowns. Please come and check us and our new merch out!

Aug 25 NL Nijmegen De Bijstand

Aug 29 NL Schoonhoven De Bastille

Aug 30 NL Nijmegen Rock Royale

All the small things

So we had 3 very nice shows last week of which 2 acoustic. And I must say it’s going better and better. Reactions are overall positive. Obviously we aren’t going for the popularity vote beacuse you know that some people will prefer loud guitars over acoustic ploink ploink. Make up your own mind and listen to a song on our Myspace. Anyhow, Punx.nl liked our acoustic 7 inch so much they made it CD (!) of the week and gave us a nice review.

In the mean time Riekus has been busy updating this site and improving what was not perfect yet, and now it all is! You can search this site through the search field on the top right, and some more social networks have been added next to it, Twitter, Facebook, Last.fm, PureVolume, you know the drill. From now on Facebook.com/antillectual is the direct link to our page over there, by the way.

Besides that we updated the merch section and took out what wasn’t available anymore and put in the new EP. Get it while it’s still hot and pink! We also have some samplers (for instance the 15 years AFA compilation) which aren’t featured. Email us if you’re interested, we’ll throw in some nice goodies like stickers and posters.

And last the interview we did in Mülheim in March is online at Get Addicted. There’s also a live video at the same site with a new song.

Let us know if you can help us out with a show for one of our upcoming tours! B-bye!
